Meeting Minutes – February 20, 2018

Meeting called to order: by Mike Heiser at 5:17 p.m.

Motion was made to accept the October minutes by Rich, seconded by Mario

Treasurer Report: see  OCEA TREASURER REPORT NOV 17 DEC 17 JAN 18

Activity Report: none

Employee Relations: Welcome to new Teamster representative, Neil Sholander. He will work with Chester during transition.

Stewards Report: Catastrophic Leave Bank is open for Jeff Lyall.  Eileen Deptula is back at work, thank you to everyone who donated to her Leave Bank.

Old Business: Board is meeting with Rob O’Brien quarterly to keep current.  City will be looking at Health Insurance options in June, OCEA is planning on staying with Teamsters Kaiser Medical, but we are open to continuing discussion with the City.

New Business:

Discussion regarding support for Council Members for election in November

Discussion of OCEA dues increase, last increase will be in May.  Rich suggested moving $2000 into savings, Jennelise made motion, Christine seconded

Discussion of establishment of future OCEA Commitees
