OCEANSIDECity Employee Association Meeting Minutes – May 17, 2016

Number in attendance: 11, Meeting called to order: By Mike Heiser at 5:17
Motion by Mario Corral/Bryan Stubbert to approve minutes/agenda. Passed.
Treasurer Report:
• March – Savings: $1,098.08 Checking: $12,802.03.35 Total: $13,900.11
• March – Savings: $1,098.13 Checking: $20,352.49 Total: $21,450.62
Employee Relations: Chester Mordisini reported all is quiet, there are no disciplinary actions at this time. There is meet & confirm with HR for overtime. Will use the MECO model for work from home issue. There are minor changes to the Personnel Rules & Regulations. Verbiage about bullying is being added.
Elections will be coming up in November, and Mayor Jim Woods, Esther Sanchez, and Jack Feller will up for re-election. So far, Jim Woods is running unopposed.
New Business:
Mike Heiser: Starting in July, OCEA will start meeting again on a monthly basis.
Discussed bylaws need to be updated. Volunteers needed, and to be appointed on next meeting for the Bylaws Committee.
Mike explained the E-Board discussed adding Jennelise Hafen to the E-Board. She has helped a lot with emails and the website. Mike formally appointed Jennelise as OCEA E-Board Secretary of Correspondence, and she accepted the position. Motion was made (Jan DesRosier/Rich Miller) in support of decision to appoint Jennelise – Passed unanimously.
